A- HuffPo: Shalala turns the tables.
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Calling the NCAA's investigation "unprofessional and unethical," Miami President Donna Shalala lashed out at the governing body for college athletics on Monday, insisting that their long probe of the Hurricanes not only come to a swift end but result in no other penalties against her school.

"We have been wronged," Shalala said.

FORT PIERCE — A Fort Pierce man was arrested Sunday after posting Facebook photos of himself and two young children petting and holding a manatee calf, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The FWC filed charges against Ryan William Waterman, 21, with the State Attorney’s Office regarding a violation of the Florida Manatee Sanctuary Act after receiving tips from a citizen who saw photos of the incident on Facebook.

The act makes it a second-degree misdemeanor to intentionally “molest, harass, or disturb” any manatee.
C- CBS4: Life in South Florida.
Investigators say it was about 4 a.m. when a female police officer who was in her patrol car and heard a series of shots near the Seven Bridges at Springtree Golf Club at 37th Street and North University Drive.

“We had an officer in the area who heard shots fired and responded,” said Sunrise Police Officer Cindi McCue.

When the officer arrived at the scene, she discovered two cars with bullet holes and the dead body on the golf course.
D- NBC Miami: Because there is no shortage of stupidity within the Republican Party.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s water bottle became a viral sensation after his response to President Obama's State of the Union last week.

But today, that water bottle is not just a sensation – it’s making his Reclaim America PAC thousands of dollars in profit.

“So far we've sold over 4,200 water bottles in the last five days, bringing in over $125,000,” said Terry Sullivan, with the Reclaim America PAC.

With a minimum $25 donation, the PAC will send buyers a white water bottle that reads “RUBIO” in big red letters.
