Watch the sickening interview...
He said this despite his prior statements from last month...
This comes on the heels of him implying something different during a conference call organized by conservative groups. "If it's declared constitutional and doesn't get repealed, then we'll comply with the law. … We'll deal with all the issues we have to deal with when we know that it's going to be the law of the land," he said June 20.Is there anyone with less integrity in politics these days than Rick Scott? Okay, so Allen West would give him a run for his money.
Thank your Republican friends for making the Sunshine State the political circus that it is today.

Doesn't the Oath of Office mean anything?
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, protect, and defend the Constitution and Government of the United States and of the State of Florida; that I am duly qualified to hold office under the Constitution of the State, and that I will well and faithfully perform the duties of

I thought Tea Party pukes loved the Constitution. Arrest this SOB.
so proud to be a Floridan /sarcasm

Hmmmm...Debbie Wasserman Schultz immediately comes to mind!
SBG
It's easy to throw out things, SBG [or Director or whatever], and you have a habit of doing it.
Explain why.
The floor is yours.

I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times they are not forgotten;
Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land.
Next time he should really wear his dress greys for the interview though.
Pathetic.
Any time, SBG, we're all waiting for you to tell us how DWS has less integrity than Rick Scott....

The Director/SBG
Not thinking is eazy!
Governor Scott didn't do anything different than he has already done before. He refuses to help the least fortunate among us. He has done nothing but cut services for the disabled, elderly and the poor, while making sure all the corporations get funding without any proof that what he supports will actually bring the new jobs that he states we will have. If you voted for this Governor, go look in the mirror. Now you know what an idiot looks like.
I have lived in Florida most of my life and I must say for the first time, I am ashamed to. This Governor and his policies (or lack there of) are going to ruin this state. When did it become more popular to hurt the most vulnerable in society, then to do the right thing. This Governor has consistently cut any services for the disabled and the elderly under the guise of we spend too much on them. Since when was supporting those who cannot support themselves (through no fault of their own) become a bad thing? Well, since this Governor came into office. We are allowing the same thing to happen to the less fortunate in our society that Hitler did. Too drastic you say? I am crazy you say? When you state that they do not deserve the services and you state that we cannot afford to pay for those who cannot help themselves, then you are stating they are less than you and I. If they are less than and we cannot support them, then what do you do? Sorry, sir your grandmother is not worth paying for anymore or your daughter has an IQ of 69, so she isn't worthy of the money. Let's fire up the showers. Not trying to offend anyone, but we are headed down the same road and if we don't stop and take a look at what we are doing, it will be too late.
I am not a tax and spend liberal, but I know the difference between supporting those who need it and supporting the money laundering lobbyists and politicians. Yes, I said money laundering. When you are committing crimes against humanity with my tax payer dollars, that is nothing short of washing money to benefit you friends. Are we all so blind that we can't see the forest for the trees? I have been a republican my whole life and honestly, the way this state and a lot of the country is heading, I am ashamed to even say that.
I pay my taxes and I have an adult child with a disability, who receives services from the state of Florida. She cannot work, she cannot do most things by herself, yet this state has consistently cut her funding (50%) over the last 4 years. Based on Governor Scott's opinion, she doesn't deserve to live a decent life, because she doesn't contribute enough to society. Again, sound familiar? Go back to 1940 and read your history books. The first ones to go were the disabled.
We need to all really think about what we want this country and this state to look like. We need to think about the fact that all of us and our parents will get old (if not already) and we will need support and care to survive. Not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouths. Not everyone can run one of the largest healthcare companies in the world and commit Medicare fraud and become the Governor of one of the largest states in the union, instead of going to prison. The majority of us work our butts off to earn a living, cloth our children, pay our medical bills and make our insurance payments. Many of us don't have insurance or the ability to make a decent wage. The way I was brought up is you help those in need. I don't mean the people who use the system to get out of being responsible, commit fraud or use the system to avoid being productive members of society. I mean those who, through no fault of their own, cannot do those things. When we start turning away those people, that is when we need to really think about what the hell we are doing.
Do we really want to cut the legs out from under the most vulnerable among us? We are all better than that. Please contact Governor Scott and tell him to expand Medicaid. My daughter deserves our help.
God bless the plight of the previous poster and the many millions more. The conservative philosophy of trying to make selfishness seem moral is never going to work. I have faith that the democrats will do great this November and that is why sometimes we must let the good Lord fight our battles. Amen.
