Good morning.
Today is the first day of summer, which means little to South Floridians but it makes people in Hyannis Port mighty happy. Not much going on this morning in the South Florida blogosphere. Enjoy your morning Sift.
A- Start this morning's Sift with Restaurant Gal's story of squeezing in a trip to Disney World with her daughter.
I had to beg to leave early on a slow day and promise to be back for the next morning’s 5 a.m. shift that would surely be slower. I wasn’t sure how I would make the three-hour drive up and back in one scant afternoon and evening, but I didn’t care. I hadn’t seen RG Daughter in six months, and I was certain I wouldn’t see her for another six if I didn’t run screaming from my slower than slow off-season serving job and just go.B- Because who really doesn't enjoy baby gorilla pictures with their Tuesday morning coffee...at Nikon Miami.
C- In your morning political news, Rick Scott is urging what few supporters he has to spam local newspapers (Random Pixels), the Tea Party is finally figuring out that taking away our Social Security and Medicare is bad politics (Bark Bark Woof Woof), and Eye on Miami is mystified by the results of a recent poll about how Miami-Dade residents prefer to balance the budget.
