Ummm...Don't Look Now

....but babalu's readership is actually talking about the logistics of overthrowing the Obama Administration with force. One of the hang-ups, they've come to realize, is that the military would be loyal to their Commander-in-Chief.

You think I kid.

Sounds like the formation of the South Florida brigade of the 101st Fighting Keyboardists is underway.

The pathetic thing: the babalusers don't realize is that they are the Revolutionaries, they are not the legitimately elected government. They are echoing Fidel Castro, while decrying the revolution they are talking about emulating.

Obama may have won a little more than half the vote, but no president in modern history is as feared as he is.

Even the Bush Haters, who were possessed by pure hate it seemed, (tolerant though they be...) didn't fear him as much as millions of Americans fear Obama.

The Obama Experiment will be interesting to watch. I just wish I was watching it from another country....it is not going to be a fun ride....

Then how come a other right wingers are calling him timid and weak for not standing up to Iran?

Would you guys please make up your mind?

By the way...

Do you have any proof to back up that claim, like a citing of an actual fact, or is that too much to ask?

Bush senior could school them weekend warriors how to jump out of airplanes. It would not be the first time. This notion would make a nice diorama at the proposed Bay of Pigs museum.

"millions of Americans fear Obama"

I think all you need as proof, MB, is the rating numbers for the sheeple that follow Rush, Hannity, etc. There's a mass frothed into fear.

And there's the other similitude with Castro or any dictatorial regime. It's well known that fear is a good thing for conservatives. Fear of the new, fear of change, fear of the different which is really fear of losing their cushy place at the top. Fear-mongering is how they mobilize and is how they win elections. For all their trumpeting of liberty, fear is their core value.

But the point is, that they were taken there; Obama really hasn't done anything to evoke the fear that these pinheads are now parading. And they are not a majority.

But while scg apparently abandoned his intellect sometime in 2008, he's right that most of us who disagreed with Bush didn't fear him; we feared what he was - and was not - doing. We feared Cheney, we feared Rumsfeld, but Bush mastered that "I'm too stupid to be dangerous" schtick. He was perceived as a puppet, not a player.

Last week driving down I75 in Georgia I heard ad for Rifleman gun dealer in Macon likening Obama to Hitler (they both campaigned for "change," went the reasoning) and urging listeners to get a gun so that we Americans won't have to suffer like the Germans under Hitler. Yes, there are a lot of deluded people out there being goaded into taking up arms against the result of the 2008 election.
